The Work: We are building a new dirt trail on the opposite side of the railroad track from the new paved trail, which obliterated the old dirt trail. We will be benching in trail, some of which will involve heavy pick and shovel work. We will meet just east of the train depot at El Dorado.

Directions: from Pleasant Valley Rd, head north on Oriental St. Stay left at the fork. Turn right on the gravel road and head northeast parallel to the railroad track. On the right, just before the pen with the bulls in it, there will be a wide space to park. Watch out for broken glass. Restrooms are available at the train depot.

The primary work site will be on the east side of Blanchard Rd, which we will walk to from the parking area. We'll be finishing the work we started in October. There may be poison oak, so everyone should wear long pants, close toed shoes or boots, long sleeve shirts, gloves, eye protection, etc. Tools will be provided by MLTS, but feel free to bring your own pick, shovel, or McLeod.

Lunch will be provided but please bring your own water. Please RSVP here and on MLTS form  https://forms.gle/HSC6237tZddgMA5d7 fatrac , so we will know how many people will be attending.

Please note that El Dorado County requires all volunteers to be at least 14 years old.
