What is this Granite Bay Trail thing?

I know you are out there, the one who wants to expand your riding abilities but not sure where to accomplish this. Perhaps you are looking for a bit of single-track without having to drive too far out of the city. FATRAC might be able to help you. We host a ride quite frequently out at Granite Bay where we ride about 10 miles with only 500 feet of elevation gain. This is one of those trails where, regardless of your abilities, you can learn about riding fast to build your stamina, slower to improve your balance, or just get out and enjoy the lake.

Building a Mountain Biking Community 2. Managing Mountain Biking 3. Mountain Biking's Value Proposition.

Ride Leaders

[img_assist|nid=303|title=Ride leader on Olmstead Loop|desc=|link=node|align=right|width=200|height=125]If you are thinking about leading a FATRAC ride in the near future, you will want to download this form. It is a Word document that has the sign in sheet and the Ride Leaders Guidelines. This will help you remember what to do before, during and after the ride. If you have any questions, or are interested in leading a ride, contact Craig Wilson, President, from the "Contact Us" page.

3/2 Trailwork

[img_assist|nid=367|title=Groupshot|desc=|link=node|align=left|width=200|height=125]Mad Cat Bikes sponsored our trail work on Sunday, March 2, and it proved to be an exciting day. Twenty riders showed up and we used three BOB trailers to haul our tools deep into Salmon Falls. With the extended range of the bikes we were able to cover a great deal more territory. We cleared Sweetwater, crossed the bridge and covered the rest of Salmon Falls almost all of the way to Four Corners.

Every Sunday morning a group meets at the Twin Rocks parking area for a six to twelve mile ride around the trails near Folsom Lake. This is a social ride for intermediate riders. We usually go to a local deli for sandwiches and drinks after the ride.
