Save Our State Parks

I received an email from Mac Farrell, who is a Preservation Associate for Environment California (EC). Environment California is a statewide, citizen-based environmental advocacy organization working to keep open the 70 state parks slated for closure (Annendal is one). Mac recommends we go to recreation businesses (camping, biking, hiking, surfing, kayaking, etc.) and get signatures from managers/store owners on EC’s statement of support. In addition, if anyone knows an elected official (preferably Mayors and City Councilmen) contact them and get them on board. Even if you can’t do that, you can sign the petition yourself and mail it to Mac, or go to http://www.environmentcalifornia.org/ and sign the online petition.
