Hole-In-The-Ground
This challenging trail offers a little of everything. It has a strenuous climb to start the ride, incredible views from Andesite peak, a few great descents, granite to play on and beautiful single track. Start this ride from the fire station off of the Soda Springs exit (on Sherrit Ln. This is the end of the trail). Follow Donner Summit Rd. to the Ski Lab (on the left) and turn up the dirt road, riding it to the back of Boreal. Go under the freeway and up Castle Peak Rd., following it after it turns to dirt and to the trailhead.
Trail Head: Park at Sherill Ln., off the Soda Springs exit about 60 miles east of Auburn, CA.
