Tahoe Campout

Bike clubs including BONC, MBSOC, East Bay, & ROMP have joined FATRAC to reserve 14 camp sites (north 1/2  of the campground) at the Tahoe National Recreation Area on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. John Svahn of the Truckee Donner Land Trust(TDLT) wrote the following description of the trailwork . Building on the success and fun of last year’s camping, riding, and trail building weekend at Donner Lake, the TDLT would again like to ask you please to volunteer your time to help build the Donner Lake Rim Trail.  The section we worked on last year, linking the Glacier Way Trail Head, and Tahoe Donner Trails, with the main Donner Lake Rim trail at the Drifter Hut, isn’t quite finished.  Smoky Days and high fire danger forced the Land Trust to cancel many building days, and forced us to do all brushing by hand. (Those of you who came out last year will remember the hand brushing…)  This summer, the brushing will be finished by the weekend you will be up in August, and we will be cutting sweet singletrack![img_assist|nid=489|title=Trailwork|desc=|link=node|align=left|width=200|height=125]
