Try the Divide

[img_assist|nid=558|title=TtD117|desc=|link=node|align=left|width=200|height=100] Well, we know there are at least 25 smart people in the Sacramento/Auburn area. Those are the ones who knew that an unusually warm winter day combined with near perfect trail conditions was an excellent time to join FATRAC on its monthly “Try the Divide” club ride. Due to cold nights and an unfortunate lack of rain, the Foresthill Divide Loop Trail was dust and mud free. The riders split into 3 groups, lead by Franke, Phred, and Bert, to accommodate the variety of skills and interests. While many of us started with light jackets or other layers of clothing, most of us finished wearing just shorts and a jersey. The 3 groups met up again at the top of the Loop for some chili, chips, sodas, and the usual bike stories. Several even expressed interest in volunteering for Sunday’s trail work day at Granite Bay. The weather should be great then as well. Thanks to Jason, Mr.” I know poison oak when I see it,” and Patrick, Mr. “I forgot my bike in the shop,” for fixing lunch.
