JOIN FATRAC! The Subaru-IMBA Trail Care Crew will be in town to help you build your local bike club. Thursday, November 15, 2008, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., meet the Crew -- Kristin & Ryan -- for light refreshments, at the Bike Emporium, 483 Grass Valley Highway, Auburn. Saturday, November 17, 2008; 8:30 a.m. Where: Canyon View Community Center, 471 Maidu Drive, Auburn What: 8:30-11:00 a.m. Bike club development workshop, Noon bike ride for ALL levels, followed by a Chili cook-off. Why: Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes to make a good club? Here's your chance! Learn how to get what you want from your club (and have FUN doing it!). IMBA's Trail Care Crew will be your personal Club Care Crew during this workshop. This isn't a trail maintenance workshop. Instead, Kristin and Ryan will discuss how to bring in new leaders, build a community, and increase your club's effectiveness. They'll even teach you how to use bar nights, derbies, and group rides to build political power.
