Mad Cat's Try The Divide

[img_assist|nid=387|title=MadCat|desc=|link=node|align=right|width=200|height=125]On Saturday, March 15, Mad Cat sponsored our 2nd monthly Try The Divide Ride around the Foresthill Divide Loop Trail. The weather held off until everyone was done with the ride before dumping on us. JP, from Mad Cat Cycles, brought coffee and snacks, set up a mechanic’s stand and did some minor work on our bikes. Paul Ludden led 5 advanced riders, which left around 9 AM and rode to the Confluence. Then Patrick McDaniel took off with 15 intermediates around 10 AM to do the loop. Robb Deignan led five novices on a shorter 5 mile loop. Everyone finished between 11 and 12 and enjoyed hot dogs, chips, beans and cold drinks. While we were standing around telling stories about our rides, the temperature dropped and the rain began. It did not take much convincing to break camp and head home.
